1. Inflammatory and angiogenic factors in patients suffering from diabetes

2. Evaluation of the effectiveness of monoclonal antibodies (Aflibercept, Bevacizumab, Ranibizumab) in patients with diabetic retinopathy

3. Assessment of adipocytokines concentration in people at risk of developing diabetes

4. Adipose tissue and immunity

* Environmental Microbiology *

1. Bacteriological and physicochemical tests of inland and sea waters and sewage

2. Monitoring of the occurrence of bacteria of the genus Vibrio in the coastal waters of the Baltic Sea

4. Bioaerosol testing in the external and internal environment, eg in residential offices, health care facilities

* Research on the gut microbiome *

1. Research on the microbiome in civilization diseases (obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases)

2. Research on short-chain fatty acids in the context of civilization diseases and personalized medicine
