The variety of course formats allows students to comprehensively prepare for their future careers. The Department places great emphasis on the acquisition of practical skills by future medics. It has a skills lab where students are trained in procedures using specialized equipment. Practical classes are conducted at the University Clinical Center, within the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Clinic at the Center for Invasive Medicine and the Center for Non-Invasive Medicine, as well as in the operating theater at the University Clinical Center. Additionally, students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Polanki Children’s Hospital in Gdańsk and the Hyperbaric Medicine and Maritime Rescue Clinic at the University Center for Maritime and Tropical Medicine in Gdynia.
