University professor, is a psychologist and the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Well-being at the Medical University of Gdańsk (GUMed). In the previous term of office, she served as Vice-Dean for Quality of Education and Student Internships at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Since 2019, she has been Head of the Department of Psychology and the Unit for Quality of Life Research at the Medical University of Gdańsk, as well as Head of the Health Psychology program. Since 2016, she has also worked at the Office of the Ombudsperson for Counteracting Mobbing and Discrimination at the University of Gdańsk—initially as the Rector’s Plenipotentiary and later as Deputy Ombudsperson. In this role, she conducts proceedings regarding mobbing complaints, mediations, and supports the resolution of interpersonal conflicts. Her duties also include delivering training for staff on promoting strategies and behaviors conducive to well-being and effective communication, as well as preventing negative phenomena in the workplace.

She is a practitioner with many years of experience—a certified court expert. For 25 years, she worked at the Family Diagnostic and Consultation Center in Gdańsk (previously in Sopot), and from 2005 to 2016 she was its Director while remaining on the list of court experts at the Regional Court in Gdańsk. She is also a lecturer at the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. She has participated in expert teams within the Ministry of Justice tasked with introducing mediation in divorce proceedings, developing guidelines for psychological assessment in institutions providing opinions for the judiciary, and drafting standards for expert evaluations in family and custody cases.

She lectures on Personality Theory, Psychology of Individual Differences, Diagnosis of Adult Personality, Family Psychology, and Forensic Psychology. Her research interests include personality psychology, personality assessment, and in particular the personality correlates of individual and family functioning in the experience of normative and non-normative crises. She is the author of over 110 scientific publications. Her scientific work focuses on deepening knowledge about the dynamics of interpersonal relations, especially functioning in crisis situations, as well as on the development of diagnostic practice—designing original diagnostic methods and preparing guidelines for further clinical work of psychologists providing expert opinions in court cases, health psychology, and quality of life.
Her passions include books—not only psychological ones—and traveling to various parts of the world, not only for vacation. She lived with her family in Melbourne, Australia, for three years, where she had the opportunity to get to know different cultures and lifestyles of people from all continents.
